This is Lambie before cleaning. She was also flat ( I think from sleeping under someone!) & she needed new felt eyes & tongue & a new nose.<\/p><\/div>\n

DOLL CLOTHES<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Do not take doll clothes or antique linens to dry cleaners or put them in a washing machines or dryer, they could be destroyed. At that point we cannot clean or repair them. Doll clothes are made of 1000’s of different types of fabrics. Some bleed, shred, disintegrate or shrink when put in water, chemicals or dryers. We clean everything individually by hand using the appropriate cleaner and method for that type of fabric. We have 40 years of experience cleaning doll clothes and we work with local museums.<\/p>\n

STUFFED ANIMALS & CLOTH DOLLS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Do not put stuffed animals or cloth dolls in washing machines or dryers. They are stuffed with various materials that can bleed, disintegrate, stain, shrink or never dry when washed. The toy could bleed, fade, change color, matt, stretch, shrink, never dry, disintegrate or melt. We have been hand cleaning them for 40 years. We know what can be wet cleaned, dry powder cleaned or not cleaned at all. Stuffed animals can be stuffed with polyfil, shredded foam, horsehair, kapok, cotton, Styrofoam, plastic beans, dry peas or beans, crushed nut shell, straw, sand, horsehair, threads, yarn, manufacturing\u00a0 scrap, etc.<\/p>\n

It is better to get our estimate. After cleaning elsewhere, we may not be able to repair the item. Or if we can repair it, it might be a very expensive charge because of extraordinary labor needed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
